“TDN and the Autism community”

Hi, my name is Heather Lee and I was born in Toluca, Mexico in 5/5/86. I was diagnosed with autism when I was 3 years old, and wasn’t able to speak until I was 10. I moved to the Miami, Florida when I was 11 years old. I had trouble learning how to speak English. I was bullied until I was in high school. After I graduated from high school, I moved to Brownsville, Texas where I attend a special program for adults. Today I try to support and be a voice for others and hope to continue my education and further support people with Autism and to someday hopefully be be a spokesperson for others.
